“When your breast cancer is detected early, you have a “99% of survival” (ACS)
When was your last breast cancer screening?
Why We Need Early Detection Now
Key Facts
When breast cancer is detected early, 99% of patients survive. (ACS)
We can help save the over 55,000 lives lost each year with early screening if our laws catch up to science.
Passing Policy to Save Lives
With today’s affordable early screening, it is only our policies that prevent every woman from catching breast cancer early. In the past two years, we have seen the passage of a new law in Ohio that requires insurance coverage of early screening, including additional state of the art screening as recommended by the radiologist, of all ages. We are working to make sure this new law is understood and followed across Ohio. We are looking to see how to cover the uninsured and cover the insurance deductibles so money does not stand in the way of early detection.
We have reached out to the nation for every woman should have the right to affordable early screening. This is not just us alone. But with you, your story or your expertise, perhaps we can heard in a way that resonates in the White House, Congress or the National Institute of Health. It takes only one. Perhaps it can be you.
